US Army Combat Veteran with positions held in PSD Operations, Tier II Operations working with local nationals, Platoon Sergeant and Senior Training Cadre Instructor, firearms trainer.  Sig Sauer Law Enforcement Regional Manager Upper MidwestSig Sauer Academy Adjunct Instructor specializing in Armorer Instructor Courses.  President of Down Range Training Concepts- Class 7 FFL holder, Firearms Training, Technical Manual Writer Owner of The Palmer House, Best Little Small Town Bar and Restaurant in Minnesota 

Ron is a Director of Public Safety with the City of Hill City. As the Director of Public Safety he oversees the Police Department with 2 Full Time Officers, and 7 Part Timer Officers, Ron is responsible for training, overall readiness of the department according to MN Post Board Standards. Along with those duties Ron is in charge of overseeing the Medical First Responders group of 28 people and also direct leadership of the Fire Department which has 28 members and over 4 million dollars in assets. Ron was selected to work Super Bowl LII where his group of Police Officers were in charge of securing the MAC (Multi Agency Command Center), Ron has also provided Direct Law Enforcement support for the MN State Fair. Ron has overseen many medium to large scale events from ATV Events, various Community Events, and many others

Ron military experience includes Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Operations Security Officer and he is a veteran of the Iraq War. Ron also obtained the Silver German Armed Forces Efficiency Badge which including various events like firearms, ruck marches, swimming, etc.
